Sometimes your affiliates need booking links that credit them with bookings as they come in. In order to better track affiliate bookings without logging into the admin you have the ability to attach an affiliate ID to booking links. This sets a cookie that persists on the potential customers computer for 30 days. If a booking is placed during that time the affiliate tagged will be credited with that booking.

How to Create Affiliate Links
Log into your TRYTN account. Navigate to Settings > Affiliates. Under the Affiliate selector, click the "+" sign for the desired affiliate and the affiliate link will display. If you do not see this selector you will need to create an affiliate in the TRYTN system.
Affiliate links for operators who use embedding is slightly different. The affiliate ID generated in the system will need to be attached to your website links instead of a TRYTN booking link. You can find the affiliate ID from the example below:
https://trytn.com/AwesomeOperator?affiliateId=12345a67-8b90-1cde-f23f-4g5678h90123
Both embedding and booking experiences will link the booking to the affiliate.

How long does the affiliate cookie last?
The cookie will last for 30 days. Note that some users don't allow cookies or may clear their cookies periodically. In these cases the cookie will be lost.
Does the affiliate cookie persist after a booking was made?
No, once a booking is made the cookie is cleared.
What happens if a customer clicks on a different affiliate link after they click on the first?
The second affiliate ID will be set and the first will be overwritten.
What happens if a customer clicks on the same affiliate link after they click on it the first time?
The 30 day cookie timer will reset.
