Mailchimp allows businesses to market to potential and existing customers through various mediums and rich segmentation. At its core the Mailchimp integration enables an ecommerce store within Mailchimp. This store enables additional marketing functionality such as reporting, segmentation, and customer relationship management. The TRYTN Mailchimp integration enables the following functionality within Mailchimp:
- Adds rich segmentation data including Tagging, Custom Events, Merge Fields, and Interests and Interest Categories
- Creating and managing Connected Sites
- Syncs all ecommerce data including Store, Products, Orders, Customers, Promo Codes, and Carts
- Syncs Contacts with appropriate subscription statuses
- Syncs Images within TRYTN to the Mailchimp Content Studio

Connecting your Mailchimp account to TRYTN
Connecting your Mailchimp account to TRYTN is quick and easy and should take about 2 minutes to complete. You'll need to know your Mailchimp credentials in order to continue with this process.
First, navigate to your Mailchimp settings page. This is located under Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp. Note that your user within TRYTN needs to have the Manage Shop Settings permission in order to view and modify the Mailchimp integration.
If you do not currently have a Mailchimp account connected to your TRYTN account you should see the above experience. Click Connect Mailchimp Account to TRYTN to begin the connection process.
Once you select the connect button you will be presented with a login screen from Mailchimp. This authentication is required even if you are already logged into your Mailchimp account as an extra layer of security. Note the Mailchimp and TRYTN logos at the top of the screen to ensure you're logging into Mailchimp for the TRYTN connection. Enter your Mailchimp credentials and select Log In.
Once successfully logged into Mailchimp you will be presented with the above screen. This screen is alerting you to the permissions you are granting TRYTN to read and write with your Mailchimp account. In order for TRYTN to read and write data to your Mailchimp account you must click Allow.
You will then be taken back to your TRYTN account to the Mailchimp settings page.
You're almost done. You've connected your Mailchimp account to TRYTN. Now, in the List ID field, select the audience you wish to connect your e-commerce store to and where contacts and purchase history will be stored. If you do not see the appropriate list make sure it's created in Mailchimp first, then refresh the screen. Select your audience list and click Save Changes.
Once you save the TRYTN integration will create your ecommerce store within Mailchimp and sync product, image, and promotion data into it. You'll also immediately start to collect detailed information from each customer who makes a purchase with you.
Disconnecting your Mailchimp account from TRYTN
If you no longer want TRYTN to push data into your Mailchimp account. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp. Here you will see your existing Mailchimp connection.
Select the Disconnect button as noted above. This will remove the connection between TRYTN and Mailchimp on the TRYTN side. Mailchimp may or may not persist your existing contact and ecommerce data within your selected audience list after you disconnect the platform.
