Mixpanel is an analytics platform that helps businesses understand user behavior through event-based tracking. Integrating it with TRYTN provides insights into booking site interactions including navigation patterns, drop-off points in the reservation process, conversion funnels, user retention and custom event sequences. This enables data-driven decisions to optimize the booking experience, improve conversion rates, reduce abandonment, and identify high-value user segments for targeted improvements or marketing.
Once a Mixpanel project has been created in your Mixpanel account, copy the Project Token (found in your Mixpanel project settings under "Access Keys" or the installation instructions section) and paste it into the box labeled “Token” in TRYTN. Once saved, the Mixpanel tracking code and corresponding token will be automatically added to your booking website. The tracking script is loaded on all pages and steps of the booking site, allowing you to capture pageviews, user sessions and custom events.
In addition, TRYTN automatically sends key reservation-related events to Mixpanel, such as:
- Booking initiation or step views (e.g., availability search, cart/add to booking)
- Successful purchases/completed bookings, including details like total amount, number of participants, activity type, date/time, and other relevant properties
- Abandoned bookings or funnel drop-offs
- Other behavioral events to help build funnels, retention reports, and user cohorts
How to add Mixpanel to your TRYTN account: Settings > Tracking > Mixpanel > Enter your Project Token as shown below > Save Changes
