Connecting Sites allows you to connect additional sites to your Mailchimp account, such as your website, allows you to send additional data to Mailchimp. This also unlocks additional marketing tools like pop up forms to your site.
Note: connecting your TRYTN account with Mailchimp automatically creates a connected site as part of your ecommerce store creation, therefore you do not need to add TRYTN or the trytn.com domain as a connected site.
This article covers the following topics:

- Deleting a connected site from Mailchimp
- Verifying integration of a connected site
Connecting a site to Mailchimp
To connect a new site to Mailchimp, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp. Select Connected Sites.
Once there, select Add. You will be presented with a simple form asking for a domain for the site you wish to add.
Enter the domain of the site you wish to add. You do not need to enter specific page URLs, the top level domain (e.g. https://www.example.com/path/to/a/page - the bold section) is needed. Once entered select Save Changes.
Next, you will be presented with instructions on how to integrate Mailchimp onto the domain you just added to your site as a new connected account.
Some website builders have a native integration with Mailchimp. If your website builder is one of them, select the script URL in the first code block and enter it into the specified field within your website builder platform.
Some website builders don't offer a native integration or you may wish to create a custom integration. In this case, select the code snippet in the second section and integrate it on the HTML of your website.
Lastly, once one of the above two steps are completed, verify your site integration with Mailchimp.
Deleting a connected site from Mailchimp
To delete a site from Mailchimp, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp. Select Connected Sites.
Once there find the connected site domain in the list of connected domains. Go to Actions > Delete. This removes the connection within Mailchimp for the Connected Site. Make sure to also remove any code or integration on your website as well.
Verifying integration of a connected site
To verify a new site to Mailchimp, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp. Select Connected Sites.
Once there find the domain in the list of connected sites. Go to Actions > Verify.
Alternatively you can go to Actions > Details (the same code screen seen in the second step of the connecting a new connected site to Mailchimp) and follow the instructions on the screen to Verify.
Note: there is currently a bug within Mailchimp where verification does not actually return a status. Therefore after you verify the site you will not know the outcome of the verification, success or failure. This is a limitation of Mailchimp and not that of TRYTN.
