Using Zapier, you can easily have your TRYTN bookings show up on your Google Calendar. If you don't already have a Zapier account, you can sign up here. Assuming you have an account and are signed in lets get started.
Click this link to access the pre-built TRYTN > Google Calendar Zap.
When selecting the "Actions" for this Zap:
- Description = Google Calendar event title
- Summary = Google Calendar information within the event
To build your own custom Zap, see instructions below:
STEP 1: Add a new Zap
There may be several ways to do this but the easiest way to do this is via the 'Create Zap' button found in the main menu. When you do that you'll be presented a workflow builder screen like below. The first thing you'll want to do is name the zap. In our case we'll call it TRYTN to Google.
STEP 2: Configure the Trigger
Next, click on the Trigger area of the workflow builder. Search for TRYTN in the 'Search apps...' area and select TRYTN.
We want to select the 'New Scheduled Item' Trigger Event and then click continue. This trigger will fire for each scheduled item that is booked with TRYTN. If a customer books multiple events in a single transaction it will be fired multiple times.
Next we'll need to give Zapier permission to listen for these bookings to happen within TRYTN. To do this you'll need to click Sign in to TRYTN.
The following window will open on your screen.
You are required to provide your Business ID as well as your Secret Key. Both pieces of information can be found in TRYTN under Settings > API Keys. If you do not see a Business ID or Secret Key you need to select + Add. Once you create an API key you will have access to these pieces of data.
If you are successful in authenticating you will be presented with a screen that allows you to to test the trigger. Click continue.
STEP 2: Configure the Action
Next you will be presented the Action selection screen. From this screen you can search for Google and select the Google Calendar app. Within that app choose the 'Find Event' action. Once done your screen should look something like this.
Next you will be asked to select and authenticate with the google account that you wish to use and set the details of the calendar event. In doing this there are couple of points that are important. The first is to be sure to check the 'Create Google Calendar Detailed Event if it doesn't exist yet?' The next is to ensure that the data fields you include in the calendar event summary or description are included in the Search Term field.
