Types of Email Templates
TRYTN offers four main types of email templates that can be used for different purposes:
- Pre-Activity Template
This email template type is useful for sending reminders and instructions to users before a scheduled activity. It can be configured to send a certain number of hours or days before the activity, ranging from 1 hour to 14 days prior. Note that this template is only available for scheduled activities and each activity will have its own email. Examples of this type of email could include details on what to bring or how to find the launch location.
- Post-Activity Template
Similar to the pre-activity template, the post-activity template is sent after a user has attended a scheduled activity. This template can be scheduled to send anywhere between 1 hour to 14 days after the activity has ended. Examples of this email could include requests for reviews or sending a promotion code for future purchases. Note that like the pre-activity template, this template is only available for scheduled activities and each activity will have its own email.
- Post-Purchase Template
This email template is triggered after a purchase has been made and can be scheduled to send between 1 hour to 14 days after the purchase date. All product types can use this template type, and it can be used for a variety of purposes such as letting customers know when a merchandise order will ship.
- User-Driven Template
User-driven email templates are pre-defined responses to common customer questions that can be manually sent by an operator based on the occurrence of an event. For example, if a bike tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, operators can quickly send a predetermined cancellation message to participants for a given time slot or day. This type of email is not scheduled based on time and can be used for a variety of purposes.
Sample Pre-Activity Email Template
The following is a sample pre-activity email that can be sent to customers days before an activity is scheduled to occur. You are welcome to use this sample email as a basic template for your shop. Note: If you set a "Pre-activity" email to send 3 days before a trip start time and a customer books just 1 day before their trip start time, they will still receive the pre-activity email.
