Creating Shortcuts to TRYTN on your Smartphone or Tablet (App)

Adding a shortcut to your iOS, Android or Windows Mobile device is a simple way to access any website you visit frequently in just one click. This article outlines instructions for linking to your TRYTN reservation system using an icon similar to that used in the native mobile app experience.

Create a Shortcut on iOS (iPhone or iPod Touch)

Step 1: From your iOS device, navigate to the specific webpage you want to save for your shortcut. 

For this example, we will link to our TRYTN Dashboard. 

Step 2: Tap the center Share icon (the box with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Select the option labeled Add to Home Screen.

Step 4: Edit the name for your icon, if preferred. This is the text that will appear under your shortcut's icon on the home screen. Then click Add at the top-right corner of the screen.

Create a Shortcut on iPad

Step 1: From your iPad, navigate to the TRYTN webpage (or any specific portion of the site you prefer, such as your TRYTN Dashboard).

Step 2: Tap the Share icon (the box with an arrow pointing out of the top).

Step 3: Scroll down and tap the option to Add to Home Screen.

Step 4: Tap the shortcut name to create a personalized name for your icon, if preferred. This is the text that will appear under your shortcut's icon on the home screen. The keyboard opens automatically.

Step 5: Tap Add to close the Add to Home Screen window.

To find your shortcut, close Safari and swipe over to the last page of your Home screen. The shortcut icon is usually the same as the icon you see beside the website's URL.

 

Create a Shortcut on Android, using Chrome

Step 1: From your Android device, use Chrome to navigate to the TRYTN webpage (or any specific portion of the site you prefer, such as your TRYTN Dashboard).

Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu at the top-right corner of Chrome.

Step 3: Tap Add to Home Screen.  A pop-up window will appear.

Step 4: Edit the shortcut title, if preferred. This is the text that will appear under your shortcut's icon on the home screen.

Step 5: Tap Add and the shortcut will now be on your home screen.

 

Create a Shortcut on Windows Phone

Step 1: From your Widows phone, navigate to the TRYTN webpage (or any specific portion of the site you prefer, such as your TRYTN Dashboard).

Step 2: Add it to your home screen by clicking on the menu button on your smartphone and select Add to Home Screen.

Step 3: Edit the shortcut title, if preferred. This is the text that will appear under your shortcut's icon on the home screen.

Step 4:  Tap Add and the shortcut will now be on your home screen.
