Step 1: Clear your Cache
Clearing your cache can help speed up performance and resolve issues related to outdated or corrupted files stored in your browser or device. Here are the instructions for clearing the cache for different browsers and devices:
1. Google Chrome (Desktop)
- Open Chrome.
- In the top right, click the three dots (menu).
- Select More tools > Clear browsing data.
- Choose a time range (e.g., Last hour, Last 24 hours, or All time).
- Check the box for Cached images and files.
- Optionally, you can also check Cookies and other site data if you want to clear them as well.
- Click Clear data.
2. Google Chrome (Mobile)
- Open Chrome.
- Tap the three dots (menu) in the top right.
- Select History > Clear browsing data.
- Choose the time range (e.g., Last hour, Last 24 hours, or All time).
- Check Cached images and files.
- Optionally, you can check Cookies, site data if needed.
- Tap Clear data.
3. Mozilla Firefox (Desktop)
- Open Firefox.
- Click the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to Privacy & Security.
- Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.
- Make sure Cached Web Content is checked, then click Clear.
4. Mozilla Firefox (Mobile)
- Open Firefox.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the bottom right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to Privacy.
- Tap Clear Private Data.
- Check Cache (and any other data you want to clear).
- Tap Clear Data.
5. Safari (Desktop)
- Open Safari.
- In the top menu, click Safari > Preferences.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- At the bottom, check Show Develop menu in menu bar.
- Close the Preferences window.
- From the top menu, select Develop > Empty Caches.
6. Safari (Mobile)
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Safari.
- Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data.
- Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.
7. Microsoft Edge (Desktop)
- Open Edge.
- Click the three dots (menu) in the top right.
- Select Settings.
- Click Privacy, search, and services.
- Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
- Check Cached images and files.
- Click Clear now.
8. Microsoft Edge (Mobile)
- Open Edge.
- Tap the three dots (menu) at the bottom.
- Select Settings.
- Tap Privacy and security.
- Tap Clear browsing data.
- Check Cached images and files.
- Tap Clear data.
9. Android Apps (General)
- Open Settings on your Android device.
- Go to Storage > Cached data (varies by device).
- Tap Clear cache.
10. Windows (System Cache)
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type temp and hit Enter.
- Select all files in the folder (Ctrl + A) and press Delete.
- Press Windows + R again and type %temp%, then press Enter.
- Delete the files there as well.
Step 2: Restart your Device
Restarting your device resets temporary processes and reloads configurations, potentially resolving issues caused by corrupted data or stuck processes.
Step 3: Reproduce the Issue
If you’re able to reproduce the issue, it means you can consistently trigger the problem under specific conditions, which is a critical step in troubleshooting. This helps narrow down the cause and potential solutions. After successfully reproducing the issue, you’ve gathered valuable information about the problem’s triggers, conditions, and behavior. Open a ticket by reaching out to support@trytn.com. Be sure to include your company name and detailed information about the issue, such as steps to reproduce, error messages, and troubleshooting steps already attempted.
